Jo-Anne Tattersall was born in Ontario and joined the Canadian Armed Forces directly out of high school. She retired in 1995 after serving 20 years with the Military Police Trade. In 1990, she and her husband Bill adopted two older siblings; Nick, resides in Kitchener, ON and Joseph and family resides in Riverview, NB. Jo-Anne & Bill will celebrate their 28th Wedding Anniversary this year.

It was in 1995 that Jo-Anne came to know the Lord, who is full of mercy and grace, as her personal Saviour. She has been active in the church ever since, she has a desire to serve the Lord, wherever He leads her. Jo-Anne attends the Rothesay Baptist Church, and is involved in several different ministries, after recently moving to their retirement home in the Kingston Peninsula. Last year, while on vacation, the Lord lead them to become God-parents to a three-year old girl on San Andres Island, Colombia. They have been in regular contact and supporter with the Sound Bay Baptist Church on the island.

She has been volunteering at Samaria House as “handi-man” on a regular basis since its inception. In her spare time she loves to do wood working and home renovations.
